Many women lack access to essentials such as feminine hygiene products and birth control.

We set out to change that.

Women’s shelters are in constant need of donations, and by incorporating Glossier’s unique voice that it gives to women, these essentials can become more accessible.

Glossier’s site will shut down for a day to stop selling the essentials they’re known for (makeup, skincare, merch) and only sell the essentials needed at women’s shelters (tampons, underwear, socks, and the “You” perfume).

On the same day of the site blackout, Glossier’s Instagram will follow with a wiped account (except for a featured artist) and the simple hashtag “redefining essential”.

Artists from cities across the world redesign the Glossier “You” bottles with their own flair to capture their voice.

Glossier is known for their pop-ups, but these are like never before.

Over the course of 4 weeks during Women’s History month, Glossier will travel to 4 cities with custom pop-ups from 4 artists, with all profits going to women’s shelters.
